Sinopsis Film The Hunger Games

Ever year in the ruins of what was once North America, the Captiol of the nation of Panem forces each of its twelve disticts to send a teenage boy and girl to compete in the Hunger Games. Sixteen-year-old Katniss Everdeen volunteers in her younger sister's place and must rely upon her sharps instincts when she's pitted against highly trained Tributes who have prepared their entire lives. If she's ever to return home to District 12, Katniss must mage impossible choices in the arena that weigh survival against humanity and life against love.

Setiap tahun di reruntuhan apa yang dulunya Amerika Utara, Ibukota dari Negara Panem memaksa setiap kedua belas distriknya untuk mengirim seorang remaja lelaki dan perempuan untuk berkompetisi di dalam Hunger Games. Katnis Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) yang berusia enam belas tahun menawarkan dirinya untuk menggantikan tempat adiknya (Prim Rose) dan harus mengandalkan insting tajamnya saat dia dihadapkan Tributes yang sangat terlatih yang sudah mempersiapkan diri selama hidup mereka. Jika dia bisa kembali ke Distrik 12, Katniss harus membuat pilihan yang mustahil di dalam arena yang mengadukan bertahan hidup dengan rasa kemanusiaan dan hidup dengan cinta.
